Fall Classic Travel League

Soccer Maine’s most popular league is the Fall Classic League, which features boys and girls divisions in age groups from U-8 through U-14.

Classic Clubs will need to affiliate for the 25/26 year by July 14th and have all teams registered in the Fall Classic League by July 15th. Players should be registered in their club accounts and on their respective teams by August 1st. Players can be added after this date and prior to roster freeze of August 15th for U12 through U14 teams, and August 29th for U8 through U11 teams, but rosters should be substantially complete prior to that. Teams will play in their appropriate age division. A team cannot play up an age group in their entirety in the Fall Classic League. Individual players can play up as long as the club allows it.

Play will begin on Sunday, August 24th for U12 through U14s, with 6 league games, and ending with preliminary playoffs on October 18th-19th, followed by semi-finals on October 26th, and finals on November 2nd. Play will begin on Sunday, September 7th, for U8 through U11 teams, with 6 league games, and ending with the U9/U10 Festivals and U11 Round robins on Oct. 25th-26th. If a team is part of a bracket with an uneven number of teams, they would have a bye date, and a Saturday play date.

The 2025 Fall Classic Handbook is coming soon!

  • Points of Emphasis:
  • U12 is transitional competitive – no divisions for regular season play, but will have playoffs. Multiple U12 teams from clubs split evenly.
  • Fees are due with team submission on July 15th.  Additional player fees are due by August 10th.
  • Coaches must have their official roster in hand for all games to present to the referee.
  • All U8/U9, U10 & U11 teams are expected to play in the end-of season festivals and round robins on 10/25-26. This is their end-of-season event!
  • Teams must have players of appropriate age on teams, i.e. no full team play ups).
  • Absolutely no jewelry of any kind (necklaces, bracelets, rings, leather bands, rubber bands).  Tape to cover jewelry is not permitted.  This is a long-time hard and fast policy for all soccer. Please do not make the referees’ job harder by not enforcing this with your players.
