The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Soccer Maine is proud to participate in this US Youth Soccer program, of which ODP is an integral part.  Soccer Maine ODP offers teams for Girls and Boys ages U12 through U17.  There will be training in the winter, along with games against other State programs, a regional tournament and invitation to the ODP Region 1 Camp held in July.  Evaluations are by birth year.   Our coaches and staff will be working with other New England states to get our players in front of ODP scouts as much as possible in order for them to earn an invitation to the East Region ODP Training Camp.

Soccer Maine’s ODP tryouts are being held on Sunday, December 8th and Sunday, December 15th, at Portland Sports Center, 512 Warren Avenue, Portland, ME.
Age group tryout times are below.   There is no cost to try out!

The US Youth Soccer ODP Purpose The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program was formed in 1977 to identify a pool of players in each age group from which a National Team will be selected for international competition; to provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels; and, through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching.

The selection process takes place through state, regional and national trials.  The primary benefit to the player is to be able to try out, train and play against the best players in their age group, furthering their development as soccer players.
