Soccer Maine’s most popular league is the Fall Classic League, which features boys and girls divisions in age groups from Under-9 through Under-14. Classic Clubs playing Fall Classic must have all teams registered in the League by August 1st. Players should be registered in their club accounts and on their respective teams by August 15. Players can be added after this date and prior to roster freeze of September 4th, but rosters should be substantially complete by August 15. Teams will play in their appropriate age division, and cannot play up an age group in the Fall Classic League. Play will begin on Sunday, September 13th with 6 league games for all age groups. Teams will have at least one Saturday playdate and possibly more. If a team is part of a bracket with an uneven number of teams, they would have a bye date, and a Saturday play date.
Registration will open for teams on July 1st in the new GotSport registration system. You must be set up with all teams and players in this system to apply your teams to the league. The GotSport system is our new registration platform as of the Fall 2020 season and differs from the existing GotSoccer legacy registration system.

Groups will play off in a single elimination format based on a field of 8. If your group is bigger than 8, the first round of games will get the group to a field of 8. If your group is smaller than 8, the first round of games will get the group to a field of 4.
Higher seeds will host their 1st and 2nd round of games. Soccer Maine will determine hosts for all subsequent rounds.
Groups that are larger than 8 will play first round games on Saturday, 10/24 and second round games on Sunday, 10/25.
All other groups will play first round games on Sunday, 10/25.
The schedule is challenging for us as we have clubs that are coming in late, and teams that have exited due to COVID concerns, thus we are creating the schedule week to week to be able to adjust to necessary changes.
Be sure that your teams have all requirements met as specified in all of our Return to Play Phases. All clubs must have submitted their Return to Play protocol to Soccer Maine.
